RÉGIS-R loved drawing since he was a kid. Later he began to design, always fascinated by objects, especially plastic. Regis-R focused on transforming waste into works of art/installations that often have social connotations. Regis-R became world-known and worked alongside with Philippe Starck for some time, always standing at the border between design and contemporary art and trying to awaken our social awareness and deal with the issues of our existence. His latest project, entitled Mur des Curiosites was a workshop presented at the Marcel College in Hyeres, France again related to the use of waste with an artistic approach. Based on the same conception, Regis-R created a giant modern lamp named Rocket using plastic waste as his main material and it ended up being a masterpiece!
