Celebrated Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola took up the design of the FLOS Architectural stand in EUROSHOP 2014, one of the most prestigious international event that brings together the world of retail design and visual merchandising under the same roof every three years in Dusseldorf, Germany. With the occasion of this new collaboration, we present you Chasen, one of the most beautiful pendant lights designed by Patricia Urquiola for the Italian manufacturing company, whose products are the standard for architects and interior design professionals internationally.

Chasen‘s ingenious shape was inspired by the traditional Japanese tea whisks used for centuries in Japan for matcha green tea ceremonies. With chemically photo-etched stainless steel body and borosilicate diffuser with liquid paint protection, Chasen provides diffused light, while the light emission can be adjusted by means of a mechanical movement that opens the louvers, thereby varying the shape of the luminaire.
