Driven by curiosity and being in a constant research for elements that make something fascinating, young designer Diderik Schneemann, who has an art background at ArtEZ Academy of arts, collaborated with Dutch brand Pols Potten for a series of products that are among our new spring arrivals at Oikos. Using discarded and washed up flip flops and recycled polyurethane, Schneemann made together with locals on the East coast of Africa unique beautiful multicoloured baskets and bowls that contribute to consumer consciousness about our throw-away society. Flipflop can be used in various ways and become both functional and decorative items in your home.
Meanwhile, under the same concept Schneemann also designed wooden Flipflop stool, using plywood covered with recycled polyurethane for its finish.
