Since 2009, Italian design company MOROSO has been using hand-weaving techniques, creating a series of signature pieces. Inspired by traditional Senegalese textiles and crafts, among a range of products designers Ayse Birsel and Bibi Seck plus Salam Gaye made the Bayekou recliner with beautiful nylon thread woven in traditional patterns and a soft, fluid shape that makes it an absolutely contemporary design piece.
