Oikos 3 latest summer projects have taken place in Mykonos. Mykonos is famed as a spectacular destination amongst the Greek islands and widely recognised as one of the great travel meccas. It is particularly famous for the cosmopolitan atmosphere, the exciting nightlife, the picturesque Cycladic architecture and the magnificent beaches that makes holidays in Mykonos a lifetime experience.
We are very proud to announce our collaboration with the beautiful Hotel Theoxenia!
Mykonos Theoxenia is one of the hotels in Greece inspired by the 60’s. Built by the highly acclaimed architect Aris Konstantinides, the hotel has been characterised by the Greek Ministry of Civilisation, as a “national preserved property” for its innovative style, architecture and the unique use of the local stone and craftsmanship while respecting the traditional Cycladic architecture.
In the suites of Theoxenia the beautiful Bahia armchair has been added to amplify the taste of holidays!
Just settle yourself to be homesick even. Bahia is a reinterpretation of the classic rattan armchair, made in modern materials. Tο complete the holiday look Pet lamps were also added to bring up an exotic essence. Pet lamps were created by the spanish designer Alvaro Catalán de Ocón when he was asked to design a product reusing the PET plastic bottle. Mixing it with local textile craftsmanship, PET Lamp Colombia was born in 2012. The colours, materials and motifs employed in the creation of the lamps speak of the cultural traditions of the artisans who make them.
Oikos and Balthazar Mykonos join forces!
A famous bar restaurant based in Athens since 1973 that now launches in Mykonos. It has been decorated with Indecasa’s espiga chair, a design gem inspired by geometry and optical illusions.
A third collaboration on the island’s grounds, with the highly acclaimed Astra Bar.
One of the most enduring and distinguished nightlife establishments on the island. The outdoor space of Astra Bar has been enriched with aluminium benches Mr H and Siena chairs by Indecasa. The chairs have had custom made print. Both of the design objects express simplicity through the purity of lines.
