The Athens Concert Hall officially opened in 1991, after almost two decades of preparations and planning. Situated in the centre of Athens on Vassilisis Sofias ave, the “Megaron” was inaugurated with two halls. Since then it has been regarded as one of the most comprehensive culture centers in Europe, hosting renowned performers of the music and the art world. In this artistic center, the architectural team that took up the set up of the Megaron’s cafe collaborated with Oikos and we provided them with some of our most appropriate pieces for a venue that is considered one of the most up-dated and well-organized civilization venues internationally. Our tables by Spanish designer Joan Casas for Indecasa, made out of anodized aluminum, with curved legs and and a top available in a variety of finishes, are featured along with chairs by Jorge Pensi, another awarded Spanish designer whose stackable and stylish products we represent at oikos for years.
