Based on the idea of reinterpreting a classic stool design by making their screw and thread in plastic, industrial designer Konstantin Grcic created The Wild Bunch, a family of furniture products made out of natural solid beech for Italian Magis. Beginning with Tom and Jerry stools (photo above and right below), Grcic changed the material of the frame and the screws of a classic stool design using again plastic and gave a great performance and a completely new and fresh look to it, adding flexibility and comfort.
For Tuffy chair, Grcic based its design on the original design of a three-legged stool.
Meanwhile, two different tables Butch and Topsy complemented the Wild Bunch collection, following the same logic of creation and design. The joints in both products are made out of polypropylene with glass fibre added. All the pieces of this elegant and versatile collection have arrived at Oikos!
