The metal chair Vigna is the first project by Italian-born, London-based designer Martino Gamper for Magis, one of our favorite brands at Oikos. The main characteristic of it and its trademark is the wire swirl that creates a structural feature which supports the chair leg like a climbing plant. With frame in steel rod, cataphoretically-treated and painted in polyester powder and seat in bi-injection moulded polypropylene, a technology allowing to obtain a seat in two colors, Vigna is much more than an average outdoor metal chair as it challenges traditional steel rod structures. It is available in eight color variations and it is easily stackable. Although it has been designed by Martino Gamper for outdoor use and forms part of a family of garden furniture, Vigna is also perfect for indoor use!
Besides the chair, Magis developed this year also the project of some tables and precisely: a round table with a steel rod plait as central column and two tables on four legs, a square and a rectangular one. It is made of the same materials and its top is in Werzalit.
