You have always dreamt of a low stool that would look like an artwork? Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek realized it! After visiting Rijksmuseum Museum and admiring its art collection at the museum shop he decided to reproduce them by transferring his inspiration into a series of design products for Dutch manufacturing company NLXL. Using a wood enabled printer from Canon and CNC wood cutting machines, he created 10 different designs of plywood stools bringing together Dutch design with Dutch art masters, from Rembrandt to Vermeer. By printing directly onto the surface of the seat, the grain of the plywood shows through the reproduced paintings and drawings! Each stool is sold flat packed in a gorgeous plastic bag and can be self assembled. The series of Print Stools were recently showcased during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven and received much enthusiasm! Their design fits in your design passions in all forms.
