Probably the first ceiling-to-floor lamp ever made, Parentesi by FLOS is one of our latest arrivals at oikos. Designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzu in 1971, the Flos Parentesi, Italian for “brackets”, is an innovative mixture of floor lamp and pendant lamp was rewarded with the “Compasso d´Oro” in 1979 and has been placed in the permanent collection at the Museum Of Modern Art in New York. The multi-functional lamp that provides direct light connects the ceiling with the floor by a steel wire rope, which is “clamped” between ceiling and floor facilitates the regulation of the height of a steel tube where the lamp is fixed. Its diffuser part is height adjustable. Parentesi, a design classic that is more than up-to-date can maximise any space at your home or office with an absolutely minimalistic appeal!
