You have always thought of decorating some of your walls with wallpapers but you couldn’t find a pattern to suit all your furniture and home decoration? NLXL is a company that has produced 4 collections of premium quality wallpapers, each one with an original aesthetic and a very unique method of production that match with everything as they actually add a texture on your wall!
Arthur Slenk accomplished a seven-year research on music sheets that he sorted and pasted them into envelopes before NLXL chose 8 of his designs for the Remixed collection. The company developed new state-of-the-art scanning techniques to capture the depth of the paper clippings, ending up with wallpapers that have a very specific history behind them and that have a vintage feel.
For the Scrapwood wallpaper collection, Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek simply put planks into paper inspired by the way old wood can be transformed to something else with very simple methods.
Designer Piet Boon actually created a backdrop for his famous contemporary designs when he made “Concrete” wallpaper. He loves concrete as a material and succeeded in making a wallpaper that gives you the impression that the surface it is placed on is really made of it!
Finally, the Brooklyn Tins collection of NLXL were inspired by an American architecture icon, the thin rolled tin-plates that were massively produced between 1890 and 1930. Their vintage allure and the sense of hand-carved that they have, has made this collection a very popular one!
