They were first designed in mid 1930′s designed by French craftsman Jérôme Lepert and were manufactured in the 1960’s by the manufacturing company of Paul Henry Nicolle. Originally designed as a robust, ergonomic and stackable seat for industry workers, Nicolle chairs and stools became very popular during the 1950′s French factories and workshops. Decades later, the Nicolle high and low stools are relaunched and back in production and we couldn’t but represent them at Oikos. Ergonomic and sturdy, Nicolle high and low stools are made of durable iron, they have some age-related wear and tear as the same steel stamping and welding techniques, as were used for the original are applied. We chose this French design classic in lime yellow, a galvanizing color that suits any decor!
Nicolle high stools are available in a set of four in special offer, as well as the low stools!
