Most of the pieces designed by Philippe Starck for KARTELL are becoming recognizable and popular long before their production. One of them is Masters chair, an awarded item designed by Starck and Eugeni Quitllet. What is very interesting about this hip design item is that it it is an homage and resulted from a combination of three other iconic chair designs: the 7 Series by Arne Jacobsen, the Tulip Armchair by Eero Saarinen and the Eiffel Chair by Charles Eames. These three designs weaved into a captivating hybrid!

As for the design of the Masters Chair itself, we cannot but focus on its criss-crossing lines of three different backs, descending to meet together at the seat.
