Drawing inspiration from nature, Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola created a new seating family,an armchair and a sofa by the name of “Foliage” for Italian KARTELL that was first presented during Maison et Objet 2013. Providing natural modern aesthetic and striking design, Foliage is an utterly comfortable sofa (and armchair) whose leaves form a crown resting on a framework of branches which virtually form a seating surface. The seat itself is formed from a polyurethane foam padding that is covered all over with a quilted elastic fabric that is embellished with a to-stitched embroidery leaf pattern.
