Back in 1973, designer Tobia Scarpa wanted to make a design piece with a warm homely lighting for the Italian company FLOS. Using synthetic fabric stretched over a glass-fibre reinforced polyamide frame, she created Ariette, which until today remains an extraordinary piece and a true classic.  It provides diffused light and can be used both as wall and ceiling lamp.
