The classic Windsor chair design made of a single plastic mould? Yes! Spanish-born Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola revised and revisited this iconic 18th century chair, bringing the glorious past of England to a contemporary context with the Comback chair , manufactured and distributed by KARTELL. A backrest consisting of seven ‘teeth’ which spread out towards the lumbar region of one’s back, where they meet at a reinforced hexagonal rim with slim shafts radiating downwards to join the seat. Comback which won the Wallpaper Design Award in 2011 and was presented again during Maison et Objet 2013 is available in three base options made of plastic, aluminum or wood and six complete colours!
