Drawing inspiration from Japan and its traditional symbolics lanterns that are made out of paper and bamboo, French designer Ionna Vautrin created Chouchin, a suspension lamp for Italian Foscarini, reinterpreting the Japanese lanterns and turning them to a contemporary lighting piece that combines tradition and modernity. Chouchin is made of hand-blown glass which is created with one single breath of air, embellished with a white collar underneath and comes in three different sizes. The light of the suspension is focused into one ray that radiates downloads.
The lacquer provides a warm glossy colour; orange, grey or olive green, depending on the earthy hue that you will choose for your space.
Your dining area would look amazing with a set of Chouchins together!
