A new family of ottomans, poufs and stools by Italian Moroso was recently launched and we present you here its striking concept and design. Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka created the Brook collection for Issey Miyake’s London Brook street and Marunouchi Tokyo stores using shapes he created by accident while “playing around” with 3D-modelling software. Taking an extruded hexagon as a starting shape, Yoshioka used a simple 3D-modelling tool to rotate the top surface so its corners are offset from those around the base. Triangular facets connect the shapes on each side. Made out of fabric-covered urethane foam formed into geometric shapes, the seats of the Brook collection are upholstered in a graduated fabric in pink, green, or brown, selected in collaboration with Italian furniture manufacturer Moroso. For comfortable areas of seating, whether contract or private, the Brook collection seems ideal!
