Every four years, the Architectural Awards are given to a project that has been completed by Greek architects from the year 2000, aiming to draw attention to and highlight those contemporary architectural creations that due to construction, type and form as well as the way they are inserted into their environment constitute a creative proposal with innovative elements, in line with the existing built environment.
There are two different prizes which concern three different categories and are all equal in stature; an award for residences and another for projects for public spaces.
For those of you who are interested, the exhibition at the Benaki Museum of Athens which includes all the entrants in order to track all the trends in Greek architecture over the past five years will be running until January 26th.
