Andreas Angelidakis‘ latest exhibition, Every End is a Beginning opened few days ago and will be running at Athens’ National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), until July 13. It is the last exhibition of the EMST before moving to its new building. The solo exhibition of the creator, architect, artist, writer, blogger, curator is a retrospective of his work, showing a series of architectural studies exploring transformative states and mutations, moving from the architecture of building to “the architecture of the unbuilt, the immaterial, the virtual”. This ideology of the ruined is reflected in the exhibition space and the semi-lit and derelict hallways of the museum itself, which is currently transitioning into the collection’s permanent residence.
To Angelidakis, the curating act itself becomes a space to be inhabited. A new work through which he criticizes the Greek reality. A must-see show!
